An excellent thematic opportunity tends to be supported by a secular trend lasting up to ten years or more. Every trend eventually suffers a setback, however. For instance, once a secular market leader puts in a major top, there is a 50 percent chance that it will decline by 80 percent—and an 80 percent chance it will decline by 50 percent.
A buy & hold strategy can expose investors to sub-par players who are more likely to fold during stock market corrections.

Tramondo Premium Equity Selection aims to outperform the broad equity market over the longer term by offering exclusive access to the most structurally attractive companies worldwide (“Good Story”).
We prefer to actively trade around a trend (“Good Chart”), exiting technically overbought positions and scaling back in after a correction.
